Christopher Gray has won the Disability Bowls England Champion of Champions competition which was held at the EIBA National Championship Finals at Nottingham Indoor Bowls Club. Chris was competing against other EALABA members – Steve Ireland & John Greaves. Impressive performance Chris.
It was an all EALABA members affair for the DBE Classified Pairs Plate Final pitting Steve Smith & Colin Milner against Joe Peplow and Gary Swift. Also, held at the EIBA finals with victory going to Gary & Joe.
Further success occurred in the Maggie Smith Trophy through the DBE North/South Challenge. Stevie Angus, Arthur Redfearn, Colin Wagstaff, Craig Dalton, John Rogers & Bob Love represented the North whilst John Greaves, Steve Ireland, Harry Atkin, Paul Baker, Alex Comack, Khailila Hussain & Dave Fisher helped the South. The North won back the Trophy on superior shot difference.
Three EALABA members have been selected to play for Disability Bowls England at this month’s Home Nations Championships against Wales and Scotland. This event is taking place at Solihull Indoor Bowls Club, Brick Kiln Lane, Solihull B91 3LE, over the weekend of 22nd to 24th of April, spectators are welcome. Support Joe Peplow, Stephen Ireland, and Bob Love.
The DBE Learning Development Squad compete for the Munro Cup against Wales and Scotland, 26th to 28th April at Cardiff Bowling Club, Sophia Gardens, Canton, Cardiff CF11 9SW. Christopher Gray has been confirmed for the team. Join Stevie Angus, John & Diane Rogers in supporting the team at Cardiff.
