Travelling from all over England, this totally self-financed group, includes many England Internationals, who normally compete against able bodied bowlers across club & National competitions. As previous, this year’s National Singles Championship 2023 was played in the same round robin format with the top 2 of each group contesting the finals.
Each match was 75 minutes in length or 1st to 21, followed by a 30-minute rest break. Competition was very tight in group B, topped by England International Steve Angus, and David Fisher. Group A was won by the maestro Bob Love winning all 5 matches, John Rogers was 2nd.
The finals were very competitive and the results did not reflect the competitiveness. John Rogers took 3rd place against David Fisher by 21-9. Steve Angus was lost, 21-6 in another class performance by Bob Love. Trophies were awarded by Tamworth IBC President Norman Ardin & Club Captain Gill Ardin.
