EALABA National Drawn Pairs Championship

The weekend of October 19th/20th saw players, and supporters, congregate at Tamworth IBC for their 17th EALABA National Drawn Pairs Championships. IBD World Championships 2024

The International Bowls for the Disabled World Championships 2024 were held at the Delville Germiston Bowling Club, Germiston, South Africa. Disability Bowls England took a squad of players, directors, helpers and coaches to compete against squads representing South Africa, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Scotland, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Canada, and India. We have been advised, today, that long standing EALABA member Steve Ireland has retired from bowls. Steve has served his County, Club & EALABA for many years, playing at a very high standard and successfully competing alongside & against able bodied bowlers. There were 6 player members of EALABA at the DBE v The North over the weekend of 20th – 21st January 2024; Steve Angus, Colin Wagstaff, Barry Nicholson, Mac Otton, David Stearn and Gary Swift.
